If you’re a bride trying to coordinate dresses for four or eight or twelve bridesmaids, you already know how complicated this gets. Different bodies, different cities, different schedules, different opinions. Ordering blind from a website and hoping it works is one option. Coming to The Castle is the other.
We’ve been dressing Upstate bridal parties for more than 40 years, twenty-five minutes from downtown Greenville in Spartanburg. Our bridal stylists handle the whole workflow: the bride picks the style and color, the local bridesmaids come in for fittings, and we coordinate the out-of-town bridesmaids by measurements so nobody has to fly home for a dress. Then we alter everything in-house.
Book a bridesmaid appointment (the same form handles bridal party appointments). Or call us at (864) 576-0053. Get directions to our Spartanburg store.
There’s a reason brides who could click-and-ship bridesmaid dresses from any of the popular online retailers choose to drive over instead. A few reasons, actually.
You can try the dress on. A photo on a screen is not the same as fabric on your bridesmaids. Color reads differently in person, fabric weights matter more than you’d think, and a silhouette that looks great on a model often does not look great on your sister. Trying on in-store solves all of that in one afternoon.
Real color matching. “Sage green” means a dozen different things across a dozen different websites. We have actual color samples in actual fabric under actual store lighting, and we can match colors across designers if you want different silhouettes in the same shade. This is hard to do online and easy to do here.
Group appointments. The bride can book one appointment for the whole bridal party. You all come in, the stylist pulls dresses based on the bride’s direction, and the group works through styles together. We’ve done this for parties of three and parties of twelve. The vibe is closer to a fun afternoon out than a clinical fitting.
We handle out-of-town bridesmaids. Modern bridal parties are usually scattered. We coordinate orders for out-of-state bridesmaids based on their measurements, so the bridesmaid in Denver doesn’t have to fly to Spartanburg to get her dress. The bride picks the style and color, the local bridesmaids come in, and we order the rest based on careful measurement.
In-house alterations. Almost every bridesmaid dress needs adjustments (hems, take-ins, occasionally a strap or sleeve change). Our alterations team works on site. There’s no separate seamstress to track down, no rushing across town with five dresses, no risk that someone’s tailor doesn’t know how to handle a particular fabric. Same shop, start to finish.
Inclusive sizing. Real bridal parties have a wide range of bodies. We carry junior bridesmaids, maternity sizing, and standard sizing across a broader range than most online retailers. If your bridesmaids span sizes 0 through 26, we have you covered without making anyone feel like an afterthought.
We carry three bridesmaid lines we’ve chosen because they cover the range of looks most brides actually want: classic, romantic, and modern.
Allure Bridesmaids is our classic line. Clean silhouettes, soft flowing fabrics, and the kind of polished look that photographs well in church lighting and reception lighting both. Allure is the line our stylists pull first when a bride wants her party to look elegant without anyone’s dress fighting for attention with her gown. Prices generally fall between $150 and $250.
See our Allure Bridesmaids collection.
Morilee Bridesmaids is the romantic option. Lace details, soft textures, dreamy color palettes, and silhouettes that feel like they belong in a garden ceremony. Brides who chose a Morilee bridal gown often choose Morilee bridesmaids too, and the brand is consistent enough that the bride and her party look coordinated without looking matchy. Pricing usually runs $130 to $220.

Kanali K is the modern, budget-friendly line. Simple silhouettes, sleek cuts, and a wide color range that makes mix-and-match easy. This is the line brides choose when they want their party to look pulled-together without asking each bridesmaid to spend more than she can afford. Most styles run $130 to $190.
The bride books one appointment for the whole party. We block off a stylist and a private area for your group. Before you arrive, the bride lets us know roughly what she’s thinking (color palette, formality, vibe) and our team pulls a curated selection.
At the appointment, your stylist walks the group through the options. Some brides know exactly what they want and just need their party to agree. Others want input. Both work fine. We’ll help your party land on something the bride loves and the bridesmaids feel good wearing.
If you have bridesmaids who can’t make the group appointment, no problem. They can come in separately to try on the chosen style, or we’ll order for them based on measurements.
Most modern bridal parties have at least one or two bridesmaids who don’t live in the Upstate. Here’s how it works for them:
The bride chooses the style and color with the local part of the party. Once that’s locked, we send your out-of-town bridesmaids instructions for taking their own measurements (bust, waist, hips, hollow-to-hem) or recommend they have measurements taken by a tailor in their city. They send those numbers to us. We use the designer’s size chart to recommend the correct size, place the order on their behalf, and ship the dress to them or hold it at the store for pickup, whichever is easier.
This isn’t as good as them being able to try it on (no remote process is). But it’s far better than them ordering blind from a website with no support if the size is wrong. If a remote bridesmaid’s dress arrives and the fit is off, we can usually help them find a local alterations specialist in their city.
Bridesmaid dresses come in standard sizes. Bridesmaids do not. Almost every dress needs at least a hem and many need additional take-ins, especially for the bust or waist. Our alterations team handles all of this on site in the same building.
For the bride, this matters more than it sounds. Coordinating bridesmaid alterations is a logistical headache when everyone has to find their own tailor. When the alterations are handled in one place, the bride can tell her party “come pick up your dress two weeks before the wedding” and trust that the work is done correctly.
Plan for two to three weeks between the bridesmaid’s fitting and pickup. Bridesmaids should bring the shoes they’ll wear at the wedding so we can set hems to the correct length.
Order four to six months before the wedding. Most bridesmaid dresses take twelve to sixteen weeks to come in from the order date. You’ll then need two to three weeks for alterations. Working backward from your wedding date gives you a reasonable target.
Lock in the style before you announce it to the party. The bride should have her style and color chosen, even tentatively, before bringing in the full party. Otherwise the appointment turns into a debate and the bride’s vision gets lost.
Talk about budget early. Bridesmaids appreciate knowing what they’re committing to. Tell us your budget range when you start, and we’ll show you styles that fit.
Use our bridesmaid size chart. Designer bridesmaid sizing runs different from street sizing. Knowing each bridesmaid’s designer size before her fitting saves time and surprises.
Consider mix-and-match. If your bridesmaids have very different body types or preferences, you don’t have to put everyone in the identical dress. We can help you choose different silhouettes in the same color, or different colors in a coordinated palette. This trend has staying power for good reason.
We’re at 1411 W. O. Ezell Blvd, Spartanburg, SC 29301, right off I-85.
Appointments are strongly recommended, especially for group visits with the whole party. Walk-ins are welcome but if you bring a group of six on a Saturday without booking, we can’t guarantee enough stylist time or fitting room space. Book a bridesmaid appointment here using the same form as bridal.

We coordinate out-of-town bridesmaid orders based on their measurements. The bride picks the style and color, the out-of-state bridesmaid sends us her measurements, we place the order and ship the dress to her (or hold it at the store for pickup). Local bridesmaids come in to try on and order normally.
We carry a wide range across our three bridesmaid lines, including junior bridesmaids and maternity sizing. If your party spans a wide range of sizes, our stylists are experienced at finding looks that work for everyone.
Most dresses fall between $130 and $250 depending on designer and style. We can usually work within most bridesmaid budgets.
Yes, in-house. The same team that fits each bridesmaid at her appointment handles her alterations through pickup. Plan for two to three weeks between fitting and pickup, and bridesmaids should bring the shoes they’ll wear at the wedding.
Four to six months before the wedding is the standard recommendation. Most bridesmaid dresses take twelve to sixteen weeks to come in, and you’ll want two to three weeks for alterations after that.
Yes. Mix-and-match in a coordinated color or palette has become a popular choice, and we can help you select different silhouettes that work together visually. This is especially useful when bridesmaids have very different body types or strong preferences.
Coordinating a bridal party is one of the more thankless parts of planning a wedding. We try to make this part as simple as possible.
